The David B. Richardson Insurance Agency was started in 1931 by George C. Dumas from his home in the historic Four Corners village of Hanover, Mass.

David B. Richardson joined his uncle in the agency in 1956. He later purchased the agency from George Dumas and placed it in his own name.

In 1975, David was joined in the agency by his son, Stephen T. Richardson. When the agency was incorporated in 1980, Steve was elected vice president. In 1986, he was named president. David retired in 1988 and passed away in 2003.

Stephen has been involved in many town activities throughout the years, including: being a member of the Hanover Fire Department for 21 years, past Boy Scout leader at Troop 1 and Troop 38 and Scoutmaster of Troop 38, active poll worker for elections, past master and current member of Phoenix Lodge AF & AM, member of Scottish Rite & the Shrine, and member of Hanover Historical Society.
